I also want to put in some coral and rocks and stuff so it looks like a reef. I was thinking of a puffer but I’m not sure the tank is big enough or if they can have a reef. I’ve recently gotten very interested in having/caring for pet fish. I had a Betta for the past 13 months, it just died however. So now I’m thinking about looking into getting a saltwater tank, but I’m not sure how much maintenance they require. How difficult is it to keep a saltwater tank? What advice would you give?
The main thing I’m worried about is cleaning the tank. My betta tank seemed to acquire algae really fast and I would end up having to spend like 3-4 hours cleaning it every couple of weeks. I have start my saltwater cycle process for about a week in a half now and i didn’t know this before but i had add a amquel into my fish tank from the start. I sort of “inherited” a saltwater aquarium with a clown fish, a few crabs and some live rock in it.
I’d like to add a couple of fish, shrimp, etc, but I’m not sure what is compatible with it.
A. The tissues of the saltwater fish would absorb too much acid.
B. The organs of the saltwater fish would produce too much protein.
C. The organ systems of the salfwated fish would consume too much energy.
D. The cells of the saltwater fish would gain too much water.

I was thinking about starting an aquarium sometime and I wanted to know what the most vicious fish for freshwater and/or saltwater are? If it depends on what state you live in, do you know any allowed in your state at least or a common one? My brother is willing to sell me his 80 gallon cheap and I’ve had experience with it before so I know what to do. Guess 80 isn’t enough for some of these but it’s nice to know I guess.
